Shillong, June 07: The chief secretary government of Meghalaya Mr WMS Pariat has issued a circular to all departments that casual appointment in various government departments should stop with immediate effect.
Sources told SP News Agency that, the circular has come out after the grade IV candidate who has pass the exam conducted by the District Selection committee has stage a hunger strike recently demanding for their appointment.
Though the tenure of the DSC was only for one year but the government has extended the time for few month to facilitate thus candidate who have pass the exam. The circular has been sent to all ministers and head of various departments.
Minister for health and family welfare Mr AL Hek , said that he has not seen the circular but in his personal view he said this might be their for others department but in case with the health Department might not be applicable.
He has cited out win an example that if they required urgent appointment like lab technician, Doctors and Nurses, is not possible to wait but they are urgent in nature.(SP News)
