Shillong, September 4: State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest Bank opened the state of art technology initiative to reach its customers in the form of e-corner at SBI Shillong Main Branch today.The e-corner was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary, WMS Pariat.
Gracing the occasion as chief guest, WMS Pariat lauded the efforts of the SBI in reaching out for its customers by making available the facilities of e-corner in the city.
“It is a very genuine initiative on the part of the SBI and I hope that this facility will make the customers save time and avail the banking services 24X7,” Pariat said.
Outlining the features of e-corner, the Chief General Manager (SBI) local head office Guwahati, Rajnish kumar informed that the customers can have all the facilities of ATM, Cash Deposit Machine and Self Service Kiosk in one place for hassle free banking experience.
“Customers can deposit money into their accounts upto Rs 40000 in a day by using ATM cards and also can update passbooks, transfer funds to any account of their choice using self service kiosk,” Rajnish kumar informed.
Making an appeal to the customers, General Manager (Guwahati) Farooque Shahab said, “We have taken this initiative in introducing e-corner so as to protect the environment as this will facilitate paperless banking and it is also easy and convenient hence I request our esteem customers to please use the e-corner.”(SP News)
