Shillong, March 30: Congress leaders campaigned on behalf of Mr V H Pala, MP congress candidate at remote Rambrai, West Khadi Hills Dist, 130 kms from shillong. Speaking during the public meeting in the market area of Rambrai, Mr John F Kharshiing, Vice President, MPCC, urged the people of Rambrai constituency to support the congress party which is the party that can provide all round development and has taken special interest to address the issues of the indigenous people of the north east. He also stated that as disciplined soldiers and just like members of a football team they had to take various position in the field, they accepted the decision of the AICC, and were all working together to ensure the victory of the Congress candidate.
Bah John F Kharshiing, VP, MPCC, highlighted the rapid growth of the allocation of the state budget since last five years from Rs1200cr to rs 4151 during 2013-14, and that the progress in all sectors of the state was beginning to show on the ground slowly. He also stated that the lack of political stability in the past was the reason for the slow growth of development in the state.
The people of the area were urged to attend the meeting to be held on 7th March, at Nongstoin which would be addressed personally by the MP.
