Shillong, July 24: The CSWO condemns the acts of the Mawryngkang Village, near Wahkdat Village in Pynursla, where a man was forced to eat human excreta, on mere allegations and suspicions that he was practicing witchcraft.
Such action, by the head of this Village is highly condemnable and the Village elders should be apprised by their Representatives (MLA’s) that in a civilized society such acts cannot be condoned.
Furthermore, The CSWO appreciates the swift actions of the Additional District Magistrate, and the SDPO who have taken strong actions, to file an FIR and not allowing such degrading actions to spread in the society. (SP News)
