Shillong, Jan 14: The CSWO condemns the attack by the Tura Police in the ANVC (B) and urge for a CBI inquiry immediately. This use of youth by politicians so they can amass wealth is not a New phenomenon. Most Politicians for that matter have groomed youth to do their dirty job and kill them when they have finished and used them.
The same was with Fullmoon Dhar who was later shot by the hired killer of Politicians Mukesh K Singh who is now SP Tura and can be visible by his trigger happy modus Operandi. In Jowai fake encounter he pumped 11 bullets and he has become trigger happy and the CSWO demands that he be removed immediately and good considerate SP’s be appointed who will work to bring about peace and not shoot youth to aggravate the situation. In 2009 the Police had found out about the HLF group formed by Politicians but that was brushed under the carpet. High ranking Police are also aware of politicians forming other groups and yet they keep quiet. They put their own personnel at risk just to serve the corrupt regimes.
The CSWO urges all militant groups to come above ground so that talks for peace can come about for the benefit of the People. The Politicians and some bureaucrats and police are too eager not to solve militancy as the Police secret fund is being plundered by them which is unaccountable. They want militancy to thrive so that they can also corrupt all the funds meant for the development of the State. The government should not put trigger happy killers to look after the District but to appoint concerned Police officials who will do justice to the People at large.
The statement of Commissioner and Secretary in-charge Home (Police), that no talks can be called with others is not at all acceptable as he is a government servant and cannot be speaking something which will not bring about peace which the people of the state want. The Government is the People and the people shall decide and not the few sitting in the realms of Governance.
It has been noticed that Governments have corrupted all these years and put the fear on the people, and developed themselves only and this is the real terrorism that creates militants. The Corrupt then use the Police to kill any opposition. The CSWO does not want to see youth led astray and calls for Peace initiatives to be initiated by the Government immediately.
