Shillong, Jan 02: The CSWO appreciates the sound comments of the Senior advocate of the High Court Mr V.G.Kynta who has spoken what most probably is the word passing around in the legal circles and the CSWO would hope the State Government sees sense and revokes the extension of the services of the retired Chief Secretary, Shri W.M.S.Pariat, so that this gives a sense of confidence to the public at large and retired Officers should retire gracefully paving way for their fellow IAS Officers.
This will also prove to the State and the country, that the Congress is serious about fighting corruption, and prove that the Congress President Rahul Gandhi is serious about fighting corruption.
Few honest IAS officers, who are frustrated about the failing system of Governance, where scam after scam is being buried, are voicing their grievances in silence, but cannot speak out due to the dictatorship and selection of corrupt officers to take over the departments where corruption is rampant. Transfer of honest officers is always a tool used by Politicians to keep them shut and the law is being used only against the low ranks and the common man.
Everyone knows that the Government is run by a set of Rules and Procedures and it cannot start making policies to placate some corrupt few, as this is not good Governance. The CSWO expects that Officer and staff of the Government, and also the Law department to streamline all departments and not allow the rule of law to go haywire on the whims and diktat of politicians as they (Politicians) are not above the law.(SP News)
