Nongstoin, April 17: The Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills said that the damage that cause to lives and property in the recent cyclone that hits the district is more than ten cores. The amount Rs 25 lack that they have received from the government is to help to thus family who where badly affected by the cylone.
Speaking to SP News Agency the Deputy Commissioner said that they have move for additional amount of Rs 73 lack just to help thus people who has lost their house in the cyclone. The Deputy Commissioner requested the people of the state to come forwards to donate in cash or in kind for the victims.
Its was also inform that many individuals from West Khasi Hills has come forwards to donate for the victims who has lost their houses in the cyclone. Till today the amount that was donated by the people is almost one lack.(SP News)
