Shillong, August 19: Smti P Pandey as she took charge the office of the Deputy Commissioner Ri Bhoi District her first official work that she has done is to discuss the dual voting that taken place in the inter state border Meghalaya and Assam.
Smti Pandey today call for the meeting of the twelve headman of the Riad Nongtung area at her chamber to Discuss these vex problem that exist in the border villages between the two state.
In the meeting the DC has assured the headman that any person who has attain the age of 18 years should get their voting right by enrolling them self in the electoral roll.
The Deputy Commissioner has assure the headman that she will personally visit thus areas to get her first hand knowledge on the ground reality that faces by the people.(SP News)
