The DC(A) give green signal to the District Council to go ahead with the delimitation of constituency

 

Shillong, July 01: The District Council Affair department recently has called the three Chief Executive Members of the three District Councils to discuss with them about the delimitation of the District Council constituency in the state of Meghalaya.

Sources told SP News Agency that the meeting was attended by the three CEMs of the District Council, Mr PN Syiem of the KHADC, Mr MB Rymbai of the JHADC and Cleophas  Sangma of the JHADC and official from the  District Council Affair Department. In the meeting they have discuss mainly on the delimitation of the MDC Constituency.

Sources said that the government wants that delimitation should not be done only on one or two ADC but it should be done in the entire three ADC.  The JHADC has already submitted to the government for approval the KHADC will hold the special session on the 5th of this month to discuss about it and The GHADC is under preparation.

These exercise assume significant since the election to the three District Council in the state of Meghalaya is schedule to be held early next year. (SP News)
