Shillong, Feb 22: The campaign to the MDC Election to the Khasi Hills Autonomous District council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District council end today at 3.PM. All the political parties and independent candidate who were contesting in the election held their rally to shpw up their strength.
In the capital Shillong, all the political parties, along with their supporter took up rally’s in the street of Shillong to show up their strength that they are hope full they will be elected as repetitive to the Autonomous Council from their constituency.
According to the analysis conducted by the SP News Agency, found that in the KHADC nong single party will get the magic number 0f 16 to have the simple majority to form the Executive Committee. Their will be a collation to form the Executive committee.
The Congress will get up eight to ten seats; will be following by the UDP and others regional party like the KHNAM and HSPDP. No single party will get the Majority in the KHADC.
In JHADC the Congress will get between 10 to 13 seat, they will form the executive committee along with the independent who will pay a major roll in the formation of the Executive Committee in the JHADC. The people of Khasi and Jaintia hills elects their representative to the on the 24th of this month. (SP News)
