Shillong, December 23: The Global Chant was held locally at the Lyngdoh Sacred Forest in Mawphlang, Meghalaya today at 12 noon on 21/12/2012 hosted by Dr. Bremley W.B. Lyngdoh where participants chanted on the F note for Forest.
People can now pa
rticipate from around the world to record their musical note or
phrase, and CHANT will mix those voices into an “enchanted” harmony. The note you chant will be gifted to musicians who will make beautiful music with this, and the sale will generate funds for the cause that you chanted for. CHANT wills
provide grants to global charities from the production and sale of its songs and creative content.
On Friday December 21st, CHANT will have cornerstone events over all seven continents to highlight the seven key causes they will be supporting through 2013 and beyond. Locations include the mouth of the Amazon River, where musician, composer, poet Cello Braga will be leading a group of Brazilian chanters, a beach in the Maldives, a scientific research station in Antarctica, the Oceanside of California, a beautiful mountain forest in Japan, the Indian Himalayas, and Stonehenge in the UK.
