Shillong, June 26: The Garo National Liberation Army, (GNLA) Chairman Mr Champiom Marak was badly beaten by the inmate inside the Shillong District Jail early in the morning, the cause of the fight is not yet know as the authority is yet to investigate into the matter.
Jail authority saw him when he was bleeding; he was taken to civil hospital for medical treatment and after the first aid the police take him away from the hospital to the undisclosed location. But Champion he has his head injury and both his hand too.
Sources said that the clash inside the jail premised took place early in the morning where, in this fight there are another three inmate where also injured. The Jail authority is investigating the matter.(SP News)
