Shillong, Nov 11: Elders from Hima Khyrim comprising of Mr H Mylliempdah, Myntri, Mr Morgan Lyngdoh, Lyngdoh Raij Mawshai, and Mr J Khyriemujat, from Hima Khyrim Syiemship, led by Bah John F Kharshiing, Co-Chairman, Meghalaya State Plannin Board, & Chairman Grand Council of Chiefs of Meghalaya, meet Hon’ble Dr Krishan Kant Paul, IPS (Retd) Governor of Meghalaya, who has accepted the invitation to attend and witness the Shad Pomblang (popularly known as Nongkrem Dance) which is one of the National Festivals of the Country. This will be the first visit by the new Governor of Meghalaya to attend the Nongkrem Dance.
Earlier, Chief Ministers secretariat has also confirmed that Dr Mukul Sangma, Chief Minister has also consented to attend the Nongkrem Dance on 14th this month.(SP News)
