Shillong, Feb 20: The Governor of Meghalaya in his order declare the 24th og this month as paid holiday. This will be observed as a general holidy in the whole of East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, Ri Bhoi, East Jaintia Hills and West Jaintia Hills District.
The holiday is declare on account of the General election to the two District Council, the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and to the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC).
Every person who is employed in any trade industrial or in any establishment govern byn the N.I Act 1881 who is a voters he is entitle to the benefit of paid holiday. (SP News)
