The Governor of Meghalaya wants to address as “Hon’ble Governor” in state function

 

Shillong, July 22: The office of  the Governor secretariat has issue a circular that the governor of Meghalaya  Dr. K. K. Paul, has approved the discontinuance of the salutation “his Excellency” while organizing function with the state.

This salutation for the Governor will continue in Interaction with foreign dignitaries. The Governor also desires that during Ceremonial occasions in the State where currently the salutation “His Excellency” is used; the future practice would be to use the words “Hon’ble Governor”.(SP News)
