Nongstoin, Sept 11: The Hynniewtrep Achick national Movement (HANM) of the West Khasi Hills District today in their executive committee meeting has decided they hold their agitation 16th of this month by sit in demonstration at the Deputy Commissioner office West Khasi Hills Nongstoin.
The HANM has decided to call for this agitation in order to put pressure on the government to remove the present Deputy Commissioner from west khasi Hills. The Organization has already submitted the memorandum to the government but the government has turn a deft years to their demand.
The sit in demonstration will be held at the office premise of the deputy Commissioner of Nongstoin from 10 Am onwards. The Chief organizer said that if the government fails to respond to their demand then they will further intensify their agitation.(SP News)
