Shillong, Feb 19: The National Hynñiewtrep Liberation Council (HNLC) in a press release issued by its Publicity Secretary, Saiñkupar Nongtraw stated that 67 years have passed and the seven sisters of Northeast have always been the victim of Indianism.
The release also reads that it does not require integration with Hindustan but it will struggle for Separation.
The statement pointed out that during the visit of his holiness the Dalai Lama to the state appealed to the Indian government to intervene into the matters of Tibet’s freedom.
According to the release, “The Indian government had also shown keen interest into the Tibet issue but forgot that the Northeast states had so many National Questions. India should first try to solve its own created problems rather than mingling into affair of other countries.”
Several revolutionary groups are also of the same opinion stated Nongtraw, further adding, “If we integrate with India, the discrimination towards our brothers and sisters will not reduce and the situation will worsen further.”
The release also states, “In Meghalaya, Assam, and Manipur the Government has turned a blind eye even to implement the inner line permit in these states, this is also a clear cut indication of discrimination. The Government of India has failed the Northeast States. This so called democracy has failed the Hynñiewtrep. We have the right to self determination, if India doesn’t want us to be anti-India, then stop violating our Human rights.”
The HNLC appeals all the NGOs of the Hynñiewtrep to expand the ILP struggles into a human rights issue, saying, “It is our legitimate right to protect the interests of our Nation as the ILP is in the pocket of the National party in Delhi and within the framework of the Indian constitution.”
After all this if the Indian government arrests and eliminates all the pro ILP activists, no other nations whether Christian countries or neighboring countries would interfere into this matter because this is a domestic affair and the Indian Government will be the jury, and it will be the judge at the same time.
The UN charter has recognized the right to self determination of indigenous peoples and all the concerned NGOs of the Hynñiewtrep should present the issue of Human rights(e.g ILP)under and infront of The UN. Hence the issue of ILP or any Hynniewtrep National Questions will neither fall under the restriction nor come under the jurisdiction of the Indian Supreme Court or Indian Government.
After all this, if the Government of India violates our human rights then the Chief Minister, Governor, President and Prime Minister will be under the trial of the World Court.
The release also states, “If ILP is presented in the Parliament, it would tantamount to placing a beef curry in the plate of Hindus, that is the reason why ILP is just a pocket issue of Hindustan, if they wants to implementing it then it can be done easily, and if it stops in implementing it then we have no feet to stand upon.”
“How many more of our youths will be arrested and shot down by Hindustan government?” the release reads.
We need to tear away this pocket of the Hindus. No other countries of the world would come to our rescue except the UN. The UNPO (Unrepresented Nations Peoples Organization) is also there to safeguard the interests of small nations. The Naga movement is also a part of this organization and hence it is protected under the umbrella of the UNPO.
The HNLC has faith in the UN, if the UN can intervene into the affairs of Syria, East Timor, South Sudan, Kosova, why not in our Homeland?
“If Saddam Hussein can be punished for his crimes under international laws, we hope and stand firm on the faith that our voices will be heard by the UN or UNPO,” stated the release.
Human right is a Birthright of every nations in this earth, and any time any one violate our human rights, we can take them to the world court; even the United States can block the visa of Narendra modi for Gujarat Genocide.
Appreciating the stand taken by Fedrick Kharmawphlang Vice President of the KSU and 13 others under his leadership to join the council, the HNLC issues an open invitation to all concerned youths to join hands with the council and fight for Hynñiewtrep Cause.(SP News)
