Shillong, Oct 08: The minister in charge labour Smti Ampareen Lyngdoh while replying during question hour about the status of ITI Sohra, the Minister said “the project was sanctioned under State Plan Scheme during the financial year 2010-11.”
“Under this a total number of nine posts are sanctioned. The traders sanctioned are wiremen and plumber,” the minister said in her reply.
While replying to a star question, Ampareen said, “the ITI Sohra has been made functional from a rented building from the session commencing September 2011 and the number of trainees trained till date are 58 while only 11 have appeared examination for the year 2013.”
She however admitted that the Government has sanctioned for it to have its own building.
The Minister also said, “the ITI is already functional and the construction work for its own building is schedule to start during the current financial year of 2013-14.”SP News)
