The JHADC passed the District Council constituencies Delimitation Bill, 2013

Jowai, Nov 15: The Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) today passed the District Council constituencies Delimitation, Bill 2013.

The Chief Executive Members (CEM) of the JHADC told SP News Agency that the house passed the delimitation bill today at the end of the winter session. Now it will go to the government for approval.

The house also today pass a resolution asking the government that let the schedule tribe certificate issued to the people of Jaintia hills be done by the District Council. Earlier the ST certificate was issued by concern District Council but the state government takes from the District council and handed over to the concern Deputy Commissioner of the District.

The JHADC today take up these resolution and will sent to the state government to revert back the subject of issuing ST certificate to the  District Council. (SP News)
