Jowai, Dec18: The Jaintia Student’s Union found that the blood bank in Jowai is not functioning till date in spite the government has posted the doctor and all the staff required and the laboratory which is required in the blood bank.
The JSU after meeting the Doctor incharge Dr Nongbri found that thought all the requirement which need to start the blood bank are in place but the license to run the blood bank has not been obtain to make the blood bank functional.
The JSU blame the state government for not doing anything on these regard the GSU warn the government that they call for the agitation in the new year as the new years gift to the government for not taking any seriousness to obtain the license for appropriate authority.
The JSU also demanded from the state government that Jowai Civil Hospital be upgraded to the State level hospital, the newly constructed hospital at Ialong the government should make it operational soon.
The JSU put the blame to the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma and the health minister AL Hek for not taking step to obtain the license. If the government are not taking any action they will start the agitation in the coming new year 2014.(SP News)
