Jowai, June 14: The Jaintia Youth Federation (JYF) war the government of Meghalaya That if they transfer the Deputy Commissioner of West Jaintia Hills who is in the post just eleven month they will call for the agitation.
The President if the JYF said that the terms for a government servant to served in the area is for three years but the prsetn Deputy Commissioner of the District is not even one year and the government is planning to transfer this officer who did his work.
The JYF felt that the proposed transfers probably due to the lobby from the business man who dose not want an officer who did his work for the interest of the public.
The JYF link the propose transfer to the recent closer of limestone quarry which the Deputy Commissioner has rightly perform his duties as the head of the District. The rampant mining of lime stone has made many villages to fine it difficult to get drinking water.
The JYF urged the Government that they should kept the present DC Mr PS Dkhar and allowed him to complete his tenure since he is working for the people of the District.(SP News)
