Shillong, April 07: The Executive Committee of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council in the emergent meeting held recently decided to seek more time form the State Government on the propose amendment to the Six Schedule of the Constitution of India.
The resent that they have shown that they could not give any proposal to the propose amendment asked by the central government is due to the MLA election that has held in the state, and many of the sitting MDC are contesting the election.
The KHADC is aware about the letter sent from the District Council affair that the last date for submission of the proposal is on the fifth of this month but due to the tide schedule they could not do anything that is why they will asked for more time so that they can sent their proposal.
One of the Executive member Mr Titus Chyne form the UDP confirm that the EC has decided to seek more time, and this will depend on the state government weather they will grant for more time.(SP News)
