Shillong, Jan 14: The Statue Of Unity, Meghalaya Unit today met under Shri Shibun Lyngdoh Convener of Meghalaya Unit of SOU along with around fifty members attended the meeting. Statue of Unity is a dream project of Gujarat Chief minister Shri Narendra Modiji to make the biggest statue of first Home Minister of the country Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (Iron Man). The meeting elected the convener of the District in Khasi Jaintia Hills District Incharge:
The meeting unanimously decided The Statue Of Unity, Meghalaya Unit will convinced a meeting in all the constituencies and in the meeting irons and mud will be collected which will be send to Gujarat to be included for the construction of this Statue. The following meetings in the constituencies will start from 1st Februray 2014 and within 28 March 2014 the irons and mud of Meghalaya will be send to Gujarat. (SP News)
