Shillong, Jan 3: The SWAT team of Meghalaya police yesterday night conducted a surprise raid at Lumshiap Nongmynsong and managed to nab a self styled captain of the banned outfit of Manipur, PREPAK, 37-year old Moirangthem Boboi Singh of Yairimpok Thoubal District, Imphal making it one of the big catches so far.
The SWAT team had been acting on a tip-off from special intelligence input which confirmed of Moirangthem’s stay here in Shillong along with his family in order to evade arrest by the Manipur Police.
From his possession two laptops, four pendrives, eight cheque books of different banks, three SIM cards, one NCell 1000 Kyat, two debit cards, two mobile phones and one ipad were seized.
While Moirangthem has been remanded to ten days Police custody, intimation of his arrest has been sent to Manipur Police. (SP News)
