Shillong, June 18: The Meghalaya Football Federation (MFA) in the meeting held recently they have elected Larsing Ming Sawyan , who owns I-League side Shillong Lajong, as the new president of MFA for the period of four years.
Mr Ming was unanimously elected and he is also allowed to contest for the post at the end of his term, according to the statement issued from the club.
Others member of the MFA who were elected in the recent eletion were Mr B Diengdoh, Mr SS Langi, Mr Diverland Lyngdoh and Mr Gino Sangma were elected as vice presidents. Former joint Secretary SS Rapthap was elected as the new secretary general while Banteidor Lyngdoh was made the treasurer. Five new executive members were also elected as per the constitution.
Former president DP Wahlang was made advisor to MFA and special invitee to all important meetings of the association.(SP News)
