Jowai, Feb 10: The NGOs from Jaintia Hills has call the 12 hours bandh on the Thursday to put pressure to the state government to repair the dilapidated condition of the NH-44 which the people who were plying from this road had suffer a lot.
The organization who sponsor for the 12 hours bandh are, AJYWO, the KSU Jaintia Circle, The FKJGP Khliehriat Circle and the HNYF East Jaintia Zone, and it was supported by the headman of the area. The bandh start from five in the morning to five on the evening.
The President of the AJYWO Mr MH Dkhar in his press statement issued today said that the road condition in Jaintia Hills on the HN-44 is sa bad right from Tuberkmai to Molidor bordring Assam. The NGOs from Jaintia Hills has written many times to the government but no action has been taken to repair the road.
The NGOs asked all to cooperate with them to put pressure to the state government to repair the road from the public interest. On the Bandh day no vehicles will be allowed to ply on the road expect ambulance carrying patients.(SP News)
