Shillong Sept 29: The NGOs while counting with their agitation to demand from the state government with their night road blocked from 1st, 3rd and 4th which will start from 8Pm to 5 Am in the morning which begin from tomorrow make it clear that they do not have any intention to topple the Government led by Dr Mukul Sangma bad they want the government to Implement the Inner Line Permit in the state of Meghalaya.
The publicity Secretary of the Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo Peoples (FKJGP) Eldie N Lyngdoh told the media that the agitation that they call because the state government is adamant in implementing the ILP in the state to check influx and illegal infiltration into the state.
The Publicity secretary of the FKJGP said that it appear that the government will implement the Regulation of Landlords and Tenants Verification Bill’ which will be against the demand made by the NGOs. The government want to protect the tenant not the land owners allege the publicity secretary Mr Lyngdoh.
The demand for the for the Implementation of the ILP in the state is not a new thing, it was incitation with the MUA-I government where Dr Mukul Was the Chief minister in 2011. The NGOs asked the public not to be misled and request to continued their support for the cost of the Indigenous people of the state. (SP News)
