Shillong, August 29: The conglomeration of the ten organizations of Meghalaya after the meeting with the state government fail to come to any decision on the implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) in the state the NGO;s call for a twelve hours state wide band on the 2rd September next Monday.
The president of the FKJGP Mr Joe Marwein told the media that they have call these band to pressurizes the state government to implement the ILP in the state because ILP is the only solution to curb influx and the illegal migration to the state.
Answering to quires Mr Marwein said that if the government call again for talk they will accept only if the government said that they area ready to implement the ILP if they call just for discussion they will not accepts.
The president of the KSU Mr Daniel Khyriem said that the ILP is their in the state of Meghalaya it up to the government to just revived it for implementation. The Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma has made a joke about the High Level Committee which was constituted by the government it self.
The president of the Garo Student Union Tengsak G Momin said that they cannot trust the Government, the claim that the government to check influx are not sufficient to deal with influx and the only solution, if the government is concern ILP is the best souliton to deal in checking influx and the illegal imigaration coming to Meghalaya.
Mr Joe said that the Band on the coming Monday start from 5 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening and if the government fail to implement the ILP all the NGO’s will again sit and chalk out future course of agitational programmed till the government accept for the implementation of the ILP in the state of Meghalaya.(SP News)
