Nongstoin, Sept 14: Today at around 4.30 am unknown miscreant set fire to the office of the Nehru Yuva Kendra at Nongstoin in West Khasi Hills District . As a result, two windows were partially damaged, while a table, chair, steel almirah and files were gutted.
On September 13 at mid night unknown miscreant set fire to the store room of the PWD office at Khliehrait in East Jaintia Hills District. The store room was partially damage.
Unknown miscreant tried also to set fire at the Block Development Officer of Khliehriat. In this attempt due to timely intervention from the people the building was averted from any damage.(SP News)
