Shillong, Oct 08: Meghalaya power Minister Clement Marak said that the outstanding amount due to the NEEPCO is Rs 295.34 crores.
Replying to a separate question, Rowell Lyngdoh, Deputy Chief Minister incharge of Water Resources said, “the water policy has been recirculated for further consultation and the efforts has been made to finalize it at the earliest.”
Replying to a separate question, Minister incharge of sports and youth affairs, Zenieth Sangma said that the sports department had appointed Karate Coach for Tura and “the appointment was made in June 2006.”
“Till date 30 students are trained so far and he is imparting Basic training,” the minister said.
The Meghalaya Government is pressing upon with the Government of India to take step for the creation of a Boundary Commission at the earliest.(SP News)
