Shillong, Oct 12: The police today have arrested Eldie Newton Lyngdoh 33, publicity secretary of the FKJGP central body from Umsning of Ri Bhoi District in connection with the attempt of throwing petrol bomb at the Puja Pandal at Umsning on Friday.
The police of Ri Bhoi District has arrested the publicity secretary of the FKJGP from Umsning today, the police has taken him to Nongpoh for further interrogation in connection with an attempt arson of the Puja Pandal at Umsning on Friday.
In another incident one person identified as Batskhem Pala impersonated himself as a Home Guard personnel and created nuisance in a Puja Pandal at Polo, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.(SP News)
