Shillong, June 18: State Bank of India, North East Circle, in a press statement today, informed with great pleasure that its officer Mr. Arvind Kumar (27 yrs), Branch Manager, Ampati Branch, who was abducted by unknown miscreants in Garobadha Region of South West Garo Hills in Tura, has been safely rescued this morning in a joint operation by Policy forces of West and South West Garo Hills.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar Magoo, the Chief General Manager of the Circle, has profoundly thanked, on behalf of the entire team of State Bank of India, the Honourable Governor, the Honourable Chief Minister, the Honourable Home Minister, the Chief Secretary, the DGP of Meghalaya, the entire Police force of both the districts involved in the operation for the quick and safe rescue of the official. The CGM reiterates that notwithstanding the hazards faced by the employees of the Bank in serving the common people in the region, it will remain forever committed to their development through its dedicated service to its esteemed customers.
The brother of Shri Arvind Kumar,Mr Ujjual Anand has also expressed relief at the news of safe rescue and thanked the police for the great job.(SP News)
