Shillong, May 24: The general secretary of the The Achik National Volunteer Council (ANVC) Mr Artis S Sangma call upon all the militant grups from Garo Hills to come to the main stream.
Speaking to SP News Agency over phone said that the ANVC has asked the entire militant group from Garo Hills to joint the main stream. “ I appeal to the GNLA, ANVC(B) and to the new outfit UALA to come to the main stream”.
When asked weather militancy has hamper the development in the Garo Hills region, he said (Sangma) the government of India has shown a lot of initiative , if new groups is coming out every time its will happen the progress and prosperity.
Regarding the peace talk with the ANVC the matter is with the government of India and he is hope full that every thing will be in place soon.
Regarding conflicting report that come up in the press on the others militant group he said he has not comment on it, but the appeal to them is to come and joint the main stream for the interest of the people.(SP News)
