Shillong, Nov 23: The seng kut snem was solemnly observed today with
the ritual held at the Seng Khasi Hall at Mawkhar in the morning with hundreds of the members of the seng khasi participate in the solemn prayer.
The MP of Lok Sabha Mr Tarun Jijay who is also present at the religious function in his speech said that “ There is nothing greater than your religion the way of worship following the ancestral path we inherited from the ancestral and this is a holy land and the religious practice that we inherited which transfer to us from generation to generation, we must proof our self worthy of it and we must honour it”.
He also said that if we do not do it we are not respecting the human values the cultural, Seng Khasi movement is a great movement you are very bravely protecting the cultural of Meghalaya which enriching Indian society and we must be protected by law, by the constitution of India by the parliament of India.
‘ I assured you were are their in Delhi to provided and support to you, if one person with courage and dedication to the ancestral tradition is enough to defeat of one million satan. Don fill that your are small, that you are a minority because you are the fragrance of the Indian culture. With out you India will be less civilized and less culture”.
On these day the MP Tarun Vijay donated one lakh from his MP found to the seng khasi for purchasing computer to be used for the school run by the seng khasi.(SP News)
