Shillong, Dec 25: Free Eye Camp for the residents of Sanmer Shillong will be held on the 4th January 2014 (Saturday) from 9 am – 3 pm. The camp is being organised by Seng Samla Sanmer Shillong in collaboration with Bansara Eye Care. Registration for free check-up will start from 8 am till 1 pm. The importance of this free eye check-up is especially for those who have cross the age 30 years above as the case of diabetes is quite prevalent in the town now as per expert opinions.
Nutritional deficiency especially in Vitamins A is another cause where people have to be aware of what type of food we eat when such food items especially like carrot, tomato and other are easily in the village. squint eye deformity which can be corrected easily also can be checked out and the same can be routed out in such where public and people can come together as a society.
Hence Seng Samla Sanmer invites all residents of Sanmer to come forward to such camp as it will be quite beneficial to all and the society at large. Health talk and documentary film on how to eat good food will be the main highlight of the camp. Wide Poster campaign will be taken up in the locality with respect to food nutrition and other health care so that we will have a society which is stronger from health point of view.
