Shillong, April 14: The Shad Suk Mynisem is a thank giving dance to the almighty for his blessing, to day is the second of the dance and it will conclude tomorrow in which the government also declare holiday in two district, the East Khasi Hills and the Ri Bhoi District in order to allowed the khasi community to participate in the festival.
The Shad Suk Mynsiem also show that Khasi followed the matrilineal and patrilineal in the Khasi society. The man with whips and swords circles the virgins, as protectors of the honors of womanhood having a single strength and resource while the men have in them twelve strength and resource. The Seng Khasi Seng Kmie from Mawkhar organized the Shad Suk Mynsiem every year in the middle of April every year at Weiking Ground.
