Shillong, Oct 31: The Synjuk ki Rangbah Shong of Shillong city today sent a letter to the government stating that they will not participate in the consultation process on the “Meghalaya Regulation of Landlords and Verification of Tenants Bill” at Yojana Bhavan tomorrow.
Speaking to SP News Agency Mr R Blah the secretary of the Synjuk ki Rangbah Shnong has confirm that they have sent the letter to the government informing that they will not participate in the conglutination process that will be launched by the Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma.
The government has constituted a ministerial committee headed by the forest minister Prestone Tynsong, with a view to facilitating the public consultation process on the draft “Meghalaya Regulation of Landlords and Verification of Tenants Bill”.
The government want to ensure that all sections of the society are provided with adequate opportunity to participate in the consultations, the State Government has decided to hold the consultations separately with traditional institutions, teachers, academicians, civil society groups, intelligentsia, youth and students, in all the 11 (eleven) districts of the State.(SP News)
