Shillong, Oct 07: Replying to a question during question hour, Home Minister Roshan Warjri admitted that Police department is hiring Sumo Vehicles for Pilot or Security Duty for the parliamentary secretaries and the MLAs.
Regarding the issuing of birth certificates, the health minister AL Hek has admitted that the task of issuing birth certificates has also given to the non-governmental organisation in the event of Public Private Partnership mode of operations in the CHCs and PHCs across the state.
Meanwhile, minister incharge of District council HDR Lyngdoh, replying to a separate question on whether the department had made any suggestion to the centre on the proposed amendment of the 6th schedule of the constitution, said no such proposal has been made. He stated that “the matter is being examined by the department and is under the consideration of the state Government.”
Replying a separate question, Education Minister RC Laloo said, “The draft state education policy is ready and after obtaining views and comments from various stakeholders would be taken up with the cabinet for approval.”(SP News)
