Shillong, Jan 21: The MLA of the United Democratic Party (UDP) Dr Jemino Mawthoh today submitted the memorandum to the president of India Pranap Mukherjee and the Union Home Minister Mr Sushilkumar Shinde on the issued of politician and militant nexus in the state of Meghalaya.
Speaking to SP News Agency over phone from Delhi Dr Mawthoh said that the president of India and the Union Home minister Mr Sushilkumar Shinde, the president of the BJP and the Vice president Incharge North East of the BJP Party. All these National leaders gave them a patient hearing on the complaint put fords by the UDP.
In the meeting with the President and the Union Home minister Dr Mawthoh demanded from the Central Government that they should set up an inquiry into the issued of politician and militant nexus.
Dr Mawthoh said that the is not only a local issued but they have taken up to the national level to apprised what has happen and they have demanded to have an inquiry on the matter to stop criminalization of politic.
In the meeting with the president they have raise also many issued related to the North East. The president of India took a serious not e of what they have appraised him.(SP News)
