Shillong, Feb 13: Oil India Limited is organising the XIX petroleum sports promotion board (PSPB) Inter Unit Veteran Cricket Tournament 2013-14 at Polo ground Shillong. The tournament will begin from February 14 and will continue till the 19th of February.
Altogether eight teams will be participating in the event.
K. Sethia, Senior manager oil India limited said that the tournament is organised under the aegis of petroleum sports promotion board with an objective to develop, promote, encourage, coordinate and organised various sports and games in the petroleum sector and the country at large.
He also said since it is Inter Unit Veteran Cricket Tournament all the players will be above 45 years. He however, asserted that some of the experience and senior placers will also participate in the tournament.
In this tournament, National Oil Public sector undertakings like ONGCL, BPCl, HPCL, GAIL, NRL, EIL, IOCL along with OIL will be participating.(SP News)
