There are political parties, NGO,s who tried to divide people on communal line: Dr Mukul

Shillong, August 20: The Chief  Minister Dr Mukul Sangma who lead the pledge to day on the occasion of  Sadbhavana said that there are political parties and  NGO’s who tried to divide people on communal line.

On this day which coincide with the birth day of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The Chief Minister said that on this day let us resolve to our self to bring unity and integrity in the country.

The Chief minister on this day remind us about the work that late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi has taken for the development of  the Country, it is during his tenure as the prime minister that the age of the voter has reduce from 21 to 18. He has empowered women and the pancahyati raj was introduces in the country.

Dr Sangma , urged to all section of people let us take a pledge to bring harmony, unity and integrity in the country.

Others who were present in the gathering are Deputy Chief Minister Dr RC Laloo, Home Minister Roshan Warjri, Gad Minster HDR Lyngdoh and Parliamentary Secretary  Kennedy Khynriem and all the officer in clued the Chief Secretary WMS Pariat and others.(SP News)
