Shillong, May 30: Deputy Commissioner said that the re-allocation was done by the IOC based on the position of backlog in the state especially in shillong and in view of inability of the existing agencies who have given in writing to the DC that they can’t cater beyond a certain number.
Shillong is the only big city in north-east having backlog. this step is in view to clear the back log as well for smooth supply as discussed with DGM IOC, guwahati.
the office of the DC does not interfere in the market operations of the IOC. the only interest of the office of the DC is to ensure the consumers get their refill in time without harassment and there is no hoarding of domestic LPG cylinders for black marketing.
