Shillong, June 23: As the district events moves on from one district to another, Meghalaya Icon 4 auditions has never ceased to amaze people at every turn. There was a great turnout in Umsning and Mawkyrwat with an ever more enthusiastic crowd.
Bear in mind that this is the first time that auditions in Ri Bhoi and South West Khasi Hills are being held. On World music day, the little streets of Umsning’s local market was echoing with music. The Pillar’z from Nongpoh won with U.S FREAKS as the runners up.
The event at Mawkyrwat was truly iconic as the contestants came from different genres. What made it more special was that the folk troupes knew all about HIV and AIDS. Identical Pro Section Image bagged the winner slot and Sap Kyrpang U Maram (SKUM) came in second.(SP News)
