Shillong November 29: On the 28th Nov’ 2012, on specific input, BSF troops of BOP Chichingpara, Ex-114 Bn BSF deployed in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya apprehended 01 Bangladeshi illegal immigrant namely Hazrool Haque(30 years), s/o Late Harsat Ali, r/o village Babukuri, PS & Distt-Mymensingh, Bangladesh while he was infiltrating from Bangladesh into India near BP No. 1110/MP.
It is pertinent to mention that the Meghalaya Frontier, BSF is keeping a strict vigil on the border to check the infiltration of the illegal immigrants into the Indian Territory. During the month of Nov’ 2012, the BSF troops have apprehended 30 Nos of Bangladeshi illegal immigrants from the Meghalaya border with the Bangladesh.
Besides above, BSF troops of BOP Gumaghat Ex- 73 Bn deployed in South West Khasi Hills distt seized 11 Nos of Bangladeshi country made boats worth approx.3,30,000(Three lac, Thirty thousand only) which have entered into Indian territory.
Apprehended persons and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.(SP News)
