Shillong, Nov 28: Today early morning at around 5.15 am the police of the East Garo Hills District raided the hideout of the Commander in Chief of the militant outfit the United Achick Liberation Army (UALA) in which fierce encounter took place.
In the encounter which lasted over two hours, in the encounter three militant were killed, four injured and one person was captured alive. The police said that the C-In-C Norok X Momin of the UALA stay in the camp.
The three militant that was killed in the encounter is yet to be identified their name, from among the four injured militant the police manage to capture a live one person identified as Columbus Shangdiar. The injured person was shifted to Tura Civil Hospital.
From the place of the encounter the police recover one 7.65 pistol with five round, 3 granate, two laptop, 4 identity cards of Norok , Walsare C Marak Deputy C-In-C, Narga R Marak the General Secretary and Rilkam R Marak (Sgt Major) and other criminating document were recovered .
The injured cadre Columbus Shangdiar has been referred and sent to Tura Civil Hospital. For treatment. (SP News)
