Tura, August 28: Today three militant belong to the group UALA surrender before the office in charge of Mendipathar police station along with their arms and ammunition. They are namely L M Marak, Walman Momin and Temil Marak.
The three militants who surrender today bring along with them one pistol 7.65, one 9MM and one M20 magzine and five ammunition. The police are still integrating them to get more detail information about their function.
So far the home ministry government of India has declare militant band out fit in Garo Hills two organization the ANVC and the GNLA, the central government is yet to declare UALA as a militant group officially. (SP News)
