Shillong, March 09: The Tibetan Community in Shillong will commemorate the 54th National Uprising Day and National Martyr’s Day on the 10 of this month. On this dat they will have the prayers session in the morning and in the evening they will have a candle light prosession.
It was on this day in 1959 the Chinese Government invades and occupied Tibet, it was on this dat that thousand of Tibetan community was kill mercilessly by the Chinese soldier, by the Chinese invasion has made thousand of the Tibet community felt their country.
The Tibetan Community who where in exile where concern about the safety and security of the people who are living in Tibet. On this day they will pray for thus people who has made their sacrifice to proect their motherland in the form of self-immolation.(SP News)
