Shillong, sept 24: A conglomeration of political parties, KHNAM, HSPDP, UDP and NPP today met and discuss about the present situation in the state on the demand for the implementation of the Inner Line permit in the state.
Speaking to media person after their meeting at the Shillong Club, the president of the KHNAM, Mr Pyndap Saiborn said that the Joint meeting of the political party decided to give their support to the demand for the implementation of the ILP in the state.
All the political party who attended the meeting today has agrees to form the Joint Forum in the next few days to come and they will hold public rally at different district to highlight to the public the need of the ILP.
The joint meeting today also demanded from the state government should immediately stop hunting the NGOs leaders.
About the demand of the UDP to implement the ILP in the state in the modified form, the president of the KHNAM said that it may be in any form but they need of the hours is protection of the people of Meghalaya.
The NPP members Aldo A Sangma, said that what Dr Mukul said that it will take time to get central note is wrong, since the congress is at the centre and at the said it will be easier to get the central government approval, but what wrong with the Congress is always they obey what the high command said.(SP News)
