Shillong, November 03: The forest and environment minister Etc, Shri Prestone Tynsong while clarified what has appear his name in the Newspapers asked “ Is a crime to request” when everybody do so. Even in my department our colleague did request but up to the officer concern to accept or reject.
We as public representative people come to us to request for something we do make the request that is our job whether the work is done or not is not my concern. The minister clarified that he never forces to do so.
While replying to the allegation made by the HSPDP, the minister said the fact is that we do faces problem in the implementation of Government scheme in various sector due to the land tenure system, this people experience it. “ I am a khasi I understand better” he said.
There are numerous occasion where the government has to surrender the scheme due to non-availability of land. The said that the Nongkwai Village PMGSY road has to abandoned due to one person that he did not part with his land, where the village has to suffer.
Shri Prestone asked the HSPDP to settle this vex problem, just to criticize is not fair, the government is working hard to bring development to the state but due to this issue many project the government couldn’t give utilization certificate, when the government could not sent the certificate then found from the central government stop.
