Shillong, Dec 02: The Government of Meghalaya ha sent three stadium projects to the ministry Development of North Eastern Region (DONER), one for Shillong, Tura and Ampati for which the ministry ha reject the proposal for Shillong but retain Tura and Ampati.
The Chief Engineer of the Sport Department told SP News Agency that both the stadium that was retains by the DONER is of the International standard according to the FIFA rule. The cost of the project is of Rs 44 cores each.
The state government is working on it and the design for the stadium is given to the Hindustan Steel Work Construction Pvt Ltd. The detail project report will be submitted to the DONER on this month.
Both the stadium that will come out at Tura and Ampati will be consider as International standard stadium, both will have the length of 105 to 107 meters length and 68.5 meters in berth. The Chief Engineer said that from the department will again re submit for the Shillong Stadium to the DONER Ministry. (SP News)
